Francisco Fernandes is a young percussionist, who has won awards in several national and international competitions, including, most recently, first prize in Category D in the International Percussion Competition of Gondomar 2022. He is a member of the Orquestra Portuguesa de Guitarras e Bandolins and the Orquestra da Ópera na Academia e na Cidade, and is a professor at the Gondomar. Music Conservatory In this recital at Serralves em Festa he will explore different sonorities, presenting contrasting works by composers such as James Tenney, Xenakis, José Manuel Lopéz or Giacinto Scelsi.
