Born in Kenya and raised in Uganda, MC Yallah has been involved in the East African rap scene for over two decades. His rhymes alternate between Luganda, Luo, Kiswahili and English in a conscious, poetic and experimental style. A member of Nyege Nyege, he teamed up with Berlin-based producer Debmaster in 2019, to release Kubali. Yallah Beibe is the follow-up to this collaboration, accompanied by the percussion of Japanese producer Scotch Rolex and Congolese producer Chrisman. The result is an aggregate of futuristic cyber-rap experiments, which confirm Yallah's status as one of the world's most exciting MCs.
