From 18:00 Friday to 22:00 Sunday

In 2018 Serralves em Festa will be celebrating the 15th anniversary of Portugal’s biggest contemporary arts festival and one of the largest in Europe. Hundreds of activities will be held in various parts of the Serralves Foundation and also several zones of Porto’s Baixa district, the Marginal de Matosinhos and Porto Airport.
The theme of this year’s edition is "Crossing Borders". It aims to cross all kinds of borders and get closer to everyone.
The programming once again includes close involvement with municipalities throughout Portugal, as a means of streamlining the partnerships that the Serralves Foundation has established with dozens of Municipal Councils as a core dimension of the Foundation's mission.
In this context, the programme includes artistic projects from Coimbra, Faro, Guarda, Guimarães, Matosinhos, Ponte do Lima, Paredes de Coura, Porto, Póvoa do Varzim, Torres Vedras, Viana do Castelo and Vila Nova de Famalicão.
Serralves em Festa’s programme also includes proposals that illustrate interaction between the visual arts and the performing arts, presented in close and integrated liaison with the activities regularly developed in the Museum and Serralves Park. The areas represented include Music, Dance, Performance, Contemporary Circus, Theatre, and Photography. The 2018 edition also highlights a continued commitment to programming for children and families, scheduled throughout the weekend.
Visitors will be able to see the museum’s exhibitions - "The Sonnabend Collection: half a century of European and American art. Part II", "Contemporary Projects: Dayana Lucas - Manual Spirit", "Manuel Marques de Aguiar, 1927 - 2015: Building Places", "Zéro de Conduite: Works from the Serralves Collection" and "Mobile Architectures"(in the Museum).
